Gov Lalong vows to make Plateau home of golf
*Tees off 3rd edition of Plateau Governor, s cup

Governor Simon Lalong of Plateau state on Tuesday disclosed that his administration is determined to make the state become the home of golf and to put the game in the grassroots
Gov. Lalong further said his administration is determined to boost tourism in the state
“Golf boost tourism and we would continue to promote golf and other sports in Plateau.”
Lalong stated this during the tee off ceremony of the 3rd edition of Plateau Governors cup 2018 Tournament at Lamingo Golf Club in Jos.
” Golf is not an elitist game as some people see it , and that is why We have introduced Kid Golf Academy in Plateau state, so that children can learn how to play golf, you may never know what they would become in the future. ”
“Plateau state is the home of peace and tourism, therefore, tourists should visit the city to enjoy the varieties of tourism assets and potential the state has to offer,” he said.
Lalong also vowed that his administration would continue do everything possible to better the lives of citizens of the state .
He said that there were lots of strategies put in place to ensure adequate security and protection of property and lives in the state.
Captain of Lamingo golf club Tang Dapoet ,who also spoke to newsmen said about 200 professional golfers are attending the 2018 Lamingo Golf Club Governor’s Cup tournament for Professionals and Amateur .
He commended Gov Lalong for his efforts to promote golf and other sports in the state
