Following the resignation of the Chairman Board of Directors of College of Health Technology Zawan, Dr. Nandul Durfa from office for reasons he credited to impunity and frauds in the 10th October, 2018 Local Government Polls, the PDP in Plateau State has applauded his decision describing it as heroic and commendable.
This was contained in a Press Statement signed by the State Publicity Secretary, Hon. John Akans, KSM as shown below;
PEOPLES DEMOCRATIC PARTY, PLATEAU STATE.
1st November 2018.
The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Plateau State, heartily congratulates Dr Nandul Durfa for towing the path of honour in the political evolution of the State.
Sir, your resignation as the Chairman, Governing Board of the College of Health Technology, Zawan, citing electoral fraud and impunity by the State government has further placed your integrity on a higher level of value as a true elder- stateman.
We admire your courage to guard your integrity particularly and to promote accountability and transparency in governance in Plateau generally.
Your action goes in tandem with what someone once said:
Do not worry about holding high position; worry rather about playing your proper role. It is therefore better to light your candle than to cause the darkness.
Plateau people were touched by the tragedy of the shameless, bare-faced and service-to-satan rigging perfected by PLASIEC under the leadership and supervision of Mr Fabian Ntung and the APC.
Whereas Mr Ntung has now written his name in the book of shame on the Plateau for which generations will remember, but you Dr Durfa Sir, have shown great and exemplary wisdom in seeking to save the dignity of our dear state and to defend the people’s freedom – thus leaving behind an enduring legacy for your own family and those who have admired you all these years of service to Plateau, Nigeria and humanity.
October 10 will continue to be remembered in the annals of democratic governance as *Black* *October* because of the injustice, daylight thievery perpetuated on Plateau people by Governor Lalong and the APC during and after the Local Government polls.
You and Dr Hirse have shown the true Plateau spirit – a spirit of honesty, fear of God and dignified service. It is better to have little with a good name than to have much with a rotten image.
Finally we call on Mr Fabian Ntung, having failed the integrity test, to also toe the path of honour and righteousness by resigning his position as the Chairman of the commission so as to leave a better ending for his children and their own children.
Plateau people will not believe and allow themselves to be seduced by the dark values of deceit and betrayal but will rather remain committed in standing against the now obviously dispicable, sacrilegious, short-sighted and self-centred disposition of Governor Lalong and the APC.
Once again congratulations to Dr Nandul Durfa and the many men of good conscience in Plateau.
You have given the land hope. We are certain many other men and women of character will follow your path of honour and leave this government to its ignoble, divisive and deceitful devices.
Signed.
