The Plateau Youth Peace and Progressive Forum is to bring citizens across Plateau State to a Unity Conference to chart the way forward to peaceful coexistence and harmonious living.

The Conference with the theme “Enough is Enough” is aimed at discussing better ways of promoting unity and entrenching peaceful coexistence.

The Conference will bring Professional, youths, women, elites, religious leaders, political leaders, traditional rulers, students, community leaders and ethnic groups together.

The Convener of Plateau Youth G-17, Hon. Dachung Bagos who spoke to Viewpoint Nigeria disclosed that the Conference will be apolitical and a way of promoting unity, peace building and enhancing confidence among the people.

He said following renewed violence, suspicion, apprehension among the people and threat to peace, it is imperative to bring the people together for greater unity and harmonious living.

He said no development can be achieved without peace, no peace can be attained without unity and justice.

He opined that unity and justice are cardinal towards peace and confidence building.

Hon. Bagos said people cannot continue to live in constant fear, intimidation, hatred and suspicion of one another.

“We must do everything possible to ensure peace is restored and people have confidence towards one another” he said.

He frowned at those fanning the embers of disunity and divisiveness. He admonish the people to embrace one another and be brother’s keepers.
