Gov. Lalong has no plan to dump APC –Plateau Government

Plateau state government on Thursday reacted to the news making rounds that Gov Simon Lalong may defect to the People’s Democratic Party .

The state government said that the report of his defection is false and mischievous.

In a statement made available to newsmen in Jos and signed by Yakubu Dati ,the Commissioner of Information and Communication reads that “The attention of the Plateau State Government has been drawn to an alleged statement credited to an elderstateman, Amb Yahaya Kwande, alluding that the Governor of Plateau State, Rt. Hon. Simon Bako Lalong may defect to the People’s Democratic Party.

There is no truth in the statement and Governor Lalong who is the sole candidate of the All Progressive Party Governorship primaries, has never contemplated no discussed such disastrous proposition with anyone.

The general public is hereby called upon to dismiss this evil plot that exists only in the imagination of its promoters.

This clarification became necessary so as not to mislead well meaning citizens who have expressed concern.
