PLANS BY THE SECURITY MEN TO INVADE DU DISTRICT FOR SEARCH

Plalandeen uncovered by the security men to invade Du District, Jos South LGA particularly Dwei, Dura, Latya and Loh Pandet in search of arms.

What beats our imagination is that while attackers would attack, kill people and escape unarrested, innocent citizens are being harassed and molested.

It will be recalled that two of the mentioned communities, Latya and Loh Pandet were attacked in a commando style by persons in Security uniforms and in Hilux in which 12 persons were killed including a 2 years old child and leaving many people with various degrees of injuries.
This attack was carried out yet no single arrest was effected for prosecution yet same areas are to be ransacked in search of arms.

This is not only mischievous but the peak of insensitivity and inhumanity to the plights of those affected in the attack that occurred less than 2 weeks ago.

We call on the security agencies to desist from any activities that is capable of creating more tension and further traumatize the people.

What the people of this communities need now is the arrest of the killers and prosecution as well as empathy from the part of government and security agencies.

Our people now live in constant fear as they are being attacked and killed on daily basis.

The security agencies should concentrate on going after the attackers and arresting them so that people would have confidence in them.

We call on our people to remain calm and don’t take laws into their hands by remaining law-abiding.
