PDP Ward to Ward Plateau State Chapter Holds Dinner

One of the strongest PDP Support Groups in Plateau State and Nationally, PDP Ward to Ward with the mandate of galvanizing supports and grassroot mobilization held a dinner and strategic session today 22nd August, 2018.

The dinner was organized for the Patrons and critical stakeholders as well as some State Party Executives who were in attendance.

The event took place at 18th Street and was well attended.

State Coordinator of the Group, Hon. Solomon Shitnaan in his opening remark spoke on what the group has achieved so far, pipeline plans and their challenges.

He said they are in partnership with Nollywood Plateau State Chapter, people with disabilities, student bodies, Non-indigenous associations and other groups.

He said they are planning to meet INEC and some security outfits to engage them on how there could be free and fair elections.

He said they already have officials in all the Wards in the State and would drive massive grassroot campaigns, advocacies and mobilization.
Hon. Solomon spoke on the forthcoming fundraising the group is planning to hold to prepare fully for the forthcoming elections. He welcomed all Patrons, Matrons, elders, State party Executives present and the group’s Executives.
The State Coordinator, Hon. Shitnaan appreciated the National Coordinator Hon Ada Fredrick Okwori for her foresight, leadership style and commitment to the success of the group.

The plateau State Chairman of the PDP, Hon. Damishi Sango was represented by the State Organizing Secretary, Hon. Yakubu Gwott Chocho.
Hon. Chocho appreciated and commended the group saying it is doing a great work for the party despite not getting any financial support from the State Executives of the Party. He said the group is one of the most organized support group seeing its visible engagements and presence across all the States of the Federation, Wards and Local Government Areas of the State.
He told them to remain strong, committed and persevere as the party is positioned towards regaining power from the clueless APC.
He promised that a level playing field would be provided for all aspirants at all levels in the forthcoming primaries after which those who will emerge victorious would be supported. He also appreciated the State Chairman for his good leadership in running the party.

The State Publicity Secretary, Hon JT. Akans lauded the achievements of the group and admonished them to continue to give the party the necessary supports.

A Matron of the group, Hon. Martha Tonga said she is happy being at the dinner and promised to be supportive of the group and Party in anyway possible.

Former Chairman Jos South LGC, Hon. Peter Vwang Dung who is a Patron of the Group said the PDP is positioned to take over both ASO Rock and Little Rayfield Jos in 2019. He said APC has brought untold hardships and suffering to the people where people are unable to pay their children’s school fees. He said the economy has deteriorated completely and the level of impunity, injustice and disrespect for the rule of law at alarming rates. He promised to support the group and its forthcoming Fundraising. He commended Hon. D. T. Sango for running the affairs of the party in a fatherly way.

Representative of the PDP Elders forum Hon. Barr Justina Vrengle who advised the group to remain steadfast and work towards the victory of the Party in future elections.
She said she is optimistic the party would beat the ruling party in 2019.

A highly respected PDP stakeholder in Jos north Alh. Awalu Dankurma said he is proud of the group and assured it that their labor would be rewarded in due time.

The event was also graced by some PDP dignataries.
