Killings – Plateau Regeneration Group calls on citizens to rally round Governor Lalong

Plateau Regeneration Group PRG on Monday called on citizens of the state to rally round Governor Simon Lalong as he joins hands with the federal government to bring to book the perpetrators of the killings of innocent persons in Barkin ladi local government of the state about two weeks ago and put an end to attacks of communities by unknown gunmen suspected to be herdsmen in the state .
The group further said Lalong, has proven that he has the interest of the State at heart .
“We call on all citizens of the state to support Gov Simon Lalong , we urged citizens to use these moments of great trials as an opportunity to unite and support government efforts at ensuring lasting peace and bring to book the perpetrators of the killings .”
Public relations officer of the group Pam Datiri , in a statement made available to newsmen in Jos the Plateau State capital reads , we that “we
commiserated with the entire peace loving people of the state and call on all to rally round the governor as he joins hands with the federal government to put an end to the repeated attacks by marauding herdsmen .
The statement reads that ” this is the time for plateau to stand united , We support Governor Simon Lalong’s call for an Emergency Special Intervention Fund to help communities sacked by the militia herdsmen go back to their land of inheritance and return to their normal lives
We commend Gov Simon Lalong for his efforts to ensure that the security architecture of the state is being reviewed to close gaps identified during the unfortunate attack on some communities in the State.
“Our Governor has proven that he is is determined to ensure lasting peace in the state ,I call on citizens of the state to support the Simon Lalong led administration to ensure that the perpetrators of the killings in the state are arrested and brought to book .
