Plateau State House of Assembly reverses dissolution of Transition Committee Chairmen.
Information available to Viewpoint Nigeria has it that the Plateau State House of Assembly today reversed its decision of dissolving the Transition Chairmen in the State after the expiration of their earlier extended tenure.
The House extended their tenure by a month with the exception of Kanam and Langtang South LGAs whose tenure were not extended.
The Transition Committee Chairman of Kanam LGC was unlucky to enjoy tenure extension as information reaching us said one of the members from the Local Government believe the Former Chairman is not competent and poor in managing the finances accrued to the Council when he held sway.
While that of Langtang South was not extended because his Assembly member kicked against it saying his not supporting the APC Chairmanship Aspirant is reason for the rejection.
During the sitting, the PDP members insisted that voting by raising of hands be done to decide on the dissolution but that was overruled by the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Peter Azi which led to the PDP members staging a work out.
There was heavy presence of Security at the State House of Assembly during the sitting.
