Plateau group lauds Lalong over creation of 6 new  additional  ministries

Plateau Regeneration group PRG on Sunday commended the Plateau State  Governor Simon Lalong for creating six additional ministries in the state .

This was contained in a statement signed by Dandirin  Pam  the Public Relations officer  of the Group and made available to newsmen in Jos .

 The statement reads that” the creation of the six new ministries would  create equal representation in governance .”

“Our governor Simon Lalong has once again proven that his is a governor for all and he is determined to unite all the 54  tribes in Plateau .”

The group also hailed Gov Lalong for his prompt payment of workers salaries and pension to retirees in the state  ,”we must commend our governor for prioritizing ” the welfare of civil servants before his political appointees, as our investigation reveals that Governor Simon Lalong pays civil servants salaries before paying his political appointees, this has proven that he is a man who has the interest of the common man at heart. 

“We call on him to continue to provide more dividends of democracy to the people of the state ”

It could be recalled that the Plateau State government on Friday created six new additional ministries .

 In a statement signed by Rufus Bature,the Secretary to the Government of the State and made available to newsmen in Jos reads that in order to reinvigorate it’s machinery to deliver on the five policy thrust of the rescue administration, the Simon Lalong led administration  has approved the creation of six additional ministries.

It also reads that the ” Ministry of transportation is to be carved out of the present ministry of works and transport. 

“Also Ministry of Mineral development to be excised from ministry of environment and mineral development. ”

 The statement further reads that Ministry of physical planning and urban development is to be carved out of  the present ministry of housing and urban development.”

“Also Ministry of economic planning which includes the planning department of the ministry of finance and the state Planning commission to be carved out of the present ministry of finance and economic planning. ”

“Ministry of science and technology is now created from the ministry of education, science and technology.”

“Ministry of special duties and inter -governmental affairs.”

  “All concerned, especially the affected ministries /departments are to note that the new development takes immediate effect. “
