Lalong taking Plateau to greater heights –Plateau Regeneration Group

Cross section of supporters of Governor Simon Lalong , operating under  the aegis of Plateau Regeneration Group  has called on Governor Lalong to seek reelection in 2019 to complete the projects he has started.

Barrister Katlong Danbaba  the  President  of  the Group who spoke to newsmen at  the weekend, in Jos, after a meeting of the members of the Group in Jos,  said  the dynamic administration of Governor Lalong  has brought about unprecedented progress to all and sundry, noting that The governor’s 5 point policy thrust which includes peace, security and good governance, human capital development and social welfare, agriculture and rural development, entrepreneurship and industrialisation, physical infrastructure and environment stood tall .

“Lalong has proven that he is an excellent administrator and deserves to be given a second term in office. ”

“From what is on ground Governor Simon Lalong administration has been able to remove the obstacles hitherto seen as mysteries that were responsible for halting the progress of the state over the years.”

“Since his assumption of office, he deliberately took some measures in line with his Five-Point Policy Thrust, which have demystified the said mysteries, thus paving the way for him to reposition the state for genuine economic growth and progress.”

He said,”In the area of education, for instance, Lalong has done well, the Plateau State University, Bokkos, which was rendered comatose for 10 years since its establishment without graduating students but on assumption of office , Lalong took the bulk by the horns and did the needful and now the university’s first convocation ceremony took place about a year ago ,also academic activities have so picked up in the institution. 

 “Lalong has also  done a lot in reviving moribund companies in the state ,go to the fertilizer blending plant in Bokkos and see the mass production of fertilizers, Lalong has also done well in reviving the highland bottling company in BarkinLadi. ”

“Lalong is doing well in wooeing  investors to come and invest massively in the state’s tourism sector, which will have a positive massive multiplier effect on Plateau State’s economy, ”

“Our governor  has already created the enabling environment that will turn the state into a haven of peace, tourism, agriculture, solid minerals and foreign investment through the provision of peace, security .

 “We also commend Lalong for recently signing  a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Hospital Assist Nigeria Ltd, a leading healthcare management consulting firm, to improve health services in the state owned Plateau Specialist Hospital, Jos.”

“The  Lalong administration  has proven that it is  determined to upgrade all state owned health centres ,this is commendable as this would also discourage people from seeking medical care abroad  ,as a group we call on citizens of the state to continue to support the Lalong led administration at all times and also support him if he decides to re contest the 2019 governorship election. 

We also commend our governor Simon Lalong for the ongoing road construction in all the seventeen local government areas of the state. 

“Lalong needs our support if he decides to re contest, he is the best man for the job come 2019 ,he further added.
