The member Representing Barkin Ladi/Riyom Federal Constituency at the National Assembly, Barr. Dr. I. D. Gyang has commenced work on the Tapo-Kpang-Tatu electrification project in Heipang District, B/Ladi LGA.

On hand to witness and bless the work including planting of Poles and mounting of Transformers was the Gwom Rwey Heipang and his king makers.

The prayer was conducted by Rev Linus of COCIN LCC Tapo amidst jubilation from stakeholders in the community.

A Youth Activist and Leader, Rwas Rondong Wash Pam, Son to former Deputy Senate President Late Senator John Wash Pam has this to say about the project “Rural electrification by Reps ID Gyang.Transforming the imagination of his constituents to reality. The man is just an all rounder and a master of all. We must endeavor to recognize talents and build institutions out of them. Reps I. D is no doubt one of them. So much political capital has been built around him that must not be allowed to waste” Rwas Rondong concluded.

Another Youth Activist from the Federal Constituency, Cmr. Friday Bako said “Barrister I. D. Gyang is a blessing to us, he is giving us effective representation and we are proud of him. His leadership prowess in terms of his legislative engagements and rural transformation and development is worthy of commendation. He is a good representative and someone who knows the plights of his people and do his best to meeting and surpassing them. I commend his good deeds. Look at the bills he has sponsored and also his people-oriented projects/programmes aimed at human capital development and rural transformation”

This project will see the mentioned areas connected to the National grid, transform them, boost economic activities and make them compete favorably well with other places who were advantaged than them in terms of power supply.

When Viewpoint Nigeria sought to know what motivated him to the project, Barr. I. D. Gyang has this to say “This rural electrification project is part of my desire to upgrade the living standards of our people and bring modernity to their door steps.”
