Women group appeal to Lalong to reconsider immediate past commissioner of women affairs Hon Rufina Gurumyen among incoming commissioners

Group operating under the aegis of Coalition of women for Change which comprises of market women, inter religious women organisation on Friday appealed to Governor Simon Lalong of Plateau State to reconsider the immediate past commissioner of women affairs Hon Rufina Gurumyen among the commissioners to be listed into the new cabinet of his administration because of her outstanding leadership qualities.
The group in a statement jointly signed by Hajiya Sakina Abdullah for women in support of feminism, Mrs Rauta Pam for market women Assocation, Mrs Sarah Musa Peter for inter religious women organisation and Hajiya Zainab Haruna for Muslim Sisters assocation and made available to newsmen in Jos on Friday reads that we congratulate Gov Simon Lalong for his excellence performance so far based on your doggness, commitment and resilience in good give and security in Plateau, no doubt we are fully confident that the rescue administration will surely take us to the promise land ”
“Sir your decision on the dissolution of the executive cabinet members of the government is duly and timely, we celebrate only credible, competent and Committed leaders on the Plateau, ”
“The statement further reads that your excellently sir we believe you are fully aware of the role played by women during and after your election, which they are the vast majority of your votes, we can still vote you again and again, we women believe in your leadership style and capacity of all inclusive government without any gender discrimination, we say thank you for the direct involvement of women in your government, but it’s rather unfortunate that that a woman of integrity and credibility who have dedicated herself sincerity to the Rescue team have also been dissolved, we want to say that Hon Rufina Gurumyen did well while in office as she carried out regular visitation to hospitals and clinics, the ministry similarly donated food items to several IDPs across the 17 local government and also provided facilitates to orphanage homes, less privilege and the downtrodden in the society ”
“During her tenure as Commissioner she also carried out social intervention programmes in collaboration with several firms and coys as well as contributed to maternity centers across the urban and rural areas of Plateau State, ”

We we the coalition of women for Chang believe in Hon Rufina Gurumyen leadership qualities, style, and selfless service to humanity therefore we are sincerely pleading with our Governor Simon Lalong to consider a credible and competent teacher to the core Hon Rufina Gurumyen among the incoming Commissioner
It could be recalled that Governor of Plateau State Simon Lalong had recently dissolved the State Executive Cabinet with effect from Thursday the 8th Of February 2018.
The Governor in a statement signed by Emmanuel Nanle, Director of Press and public Affairs expresses His sincere appreciation to The Commissioners for their selfless service and immense contributions these past years, in delivering to the people of plateau state the dividends of democracy and in engendering hope in the APC led administration in the State. The Governor while wishing the Commissioners the best in their future endeavours assures them that as stakeholders in the Plateau Project, their wealth of experience would continuously be relied upon in building the Plateau of our dream.
He therefore calls on them not to relent in availing their services when called upon in the future to serve the state.
The Commissioners are therefore directed to hand over to Permanent Secretaries in their respective ministries.
