Jos based industrialist appeals to Plateau govt to continue to provide an enabling environment for business to thrive

Jos based industrialist Ambassador Uba Nelson Nkparu has called on the Plateau State governor Simon Lalong to continue to provide an enabling environment for business to grow in the state.

He made this known while speaking with newsmen in Jos the Plateau State capital on Friday.

He said he is willing to partner with the state government to develop Plateau state in terms of creating Job opportunities to the teeming youths in order to reduce Youth restiveness and poverty in the State.

Uba who is also the managing Director of NELMAC Global resources, producer of high Quality UPVC, PVC, conduit, borehole pipes and fittings and other product lines also said he must commend the state government for their efforts at restoring peace to Plateau especially Jos metropolis.

“Before now, business men and industrialists were scared of coming to invest in Jos but we thank God for the peace been enjoyed in the state which has made people like us to invest in Plateau. ”

“To me Plateau is home and remains the safest place to stay and do business in the country .

“I am calling on “the state government to continue to provide the enabling environment for companies to thrive in the State”.

“We carry out our corporate social responsibility to our host community in new Abuja layout behind building materials market without hesitation and as I speak to you I have over 200 indigenous citizens of Plateau working at my company.

“Many people also come from far and near to buy our products, I have people who come all the way from Cameron and other parts of Northern Nigeria to buy our products, what motivated me to go into the business in Plateau was because of the friendly nature of the people and the weather, before I went into this bussines, I carried out a research and discovered that Nigeria does not have a single indigenous pipe making company as most are been run and owned by Indians and other foreigners, so I took the bold step to venture into it and so far I have no regrets”.

He however lamented that some persons are hell bent in destroying the image of the company, by making wrong insinuations about our company and this is making us contemplate relocating from Plateau against our wish.

Over the last two years we have undertaken high profile business relationship with state government, corporate organizations, religious bodies as well as with professionals in various fields related to our lines of business and individuals and it is our credit that we have never failed any client or falter in our commitment to deliver quality products, this particular behavior is what sets our company apart.
