Economic activities were paralyzed and heavy traffic noticed around Bingham University Teaching Hospital due to the peaceful protest staged by staff of the Institution over non-payment of salaries for some Months now.

The staff said they are not comfortable with the manner at which their welfare is not being given attention by the Management of the Organization.

The gate of the Hospital was under lock at the time of the protest which made it impossible for patients who were at the hospital for attention to be attended to. Some staff who were at the Hospital for their official duties were not allowed access to the Hospital Premises on account of the protest.

The protesters appealed to the management of the Institution to address the issues that led to the protest in good time.

Efforts to get to the Chief Medical Director proved abortive as he was said not to be on seat at the time of filing this report.
