The Plateau state chairman of the All Progressives Party, APC Hon. Letep Dabang has denied asking Local Government chairmen to mobilise delegates and resources to ensure the emergence of Mr. Humphrey Dashe as chairman of Plateau Youth Council. Mr. Dabang cleared the air when ViewPointNigeria correspondent had a chat with him via telephone on Saturday 22nd April, 2017 in the light of the allegations against him. Responding, he said, ”I read every bit of the information against me on the social media. it is just laughable and a complete misplacement of priority. There is no iota of truth in the allegations. Some people think they can just sit down somewhere and cook wild allegations and baseless propaganda and if you ask them how, they can’t give any meaningful evidence. assuming you take the issue to court now, can the propagandists defend themselves? Mr. Letep Dabang said further that ”It is even unfortunate that the propagandist who posted the stuff on facebook is a PDP member. where is the justification in this gimmicks? I am aware that some PDP members especially some House of Reps dished out huge sum of money for a particular candidate to win. This has no basis and it can’t take Plateau state anywhere. I am sticking to the belief of Mr. Governor who said, everybody is his candidate so I believe politics is not a do-or-die affair. My major interest is to promote the cause of Plateau state and ensure APC delivers on the bright promises it made to Nigerians. So in a nutshell, I didn’t ask any Local Government chairman to woo delegates and pull resources in support of Humphrey. Anybody who wins, will be supported to achieve success in office.
