9th Batch of Nigerian Pilgrims Complete Pilgrimage to Holy Land

The 9th Batch of Nigerian Pilgrims on 6th March, 2025 successfully concluded their spiritual exercise in the Holy Land, with a ceremony marking the occasion held at Bethlehem Hotel. Godson Israel, representing the Ground Carrier Consortium, commended the Pilgrims for their spiritual visit, during which they offered prayers for Nigeria, Israel, and the global community. He acknowledged the exceptional support of President Bola Tinubu, the Governor of Plateau State, and the Executive Secretary of the Nigeria Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC), Bishop Stephen Adegbite, throughout the exercise, emphasizing its potential to have a lasting impact on the lives of the Pilgrims and the nation. He praised the Pilgrims for their good conduct and for representing Nigeria admirably, encouraging them to prioritize prayer due to its effectiveness.
He said “you are here to raise the flag of Christianity, such spiritual exercise need to be sustained”

Hon. David Ayewa, Executive Secretary of the Nasarawa State Christian Pilgrims Welfare Board, applauded Bishop Stephen Adegbite’s visionary leadership. Hon. Sekav Dzua Iyortyom, representing the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Tajudeen Abbas, urged the Pilgrims to approach the exercise with an open heart and mind, allowing for a profound physical and spiritual impact. Rt. Rev. Dr. Bishop Nortey, Spiritual Head of the Batch, thanked all spiritual Leaders for their invaluable support. He praised the Staff of the NCPC for their exceptional dedication and professionalism.

Other speakers urged the Pilgrims to embody Christ’s principles and exhibit patriotism.

In her closing remarks, Mrs Comfort Kabirwa, a Board Member of the NCPC and Leader of the delegation, commended Israel and the Ground Handler for their exceptional performance. She encouraged the Pilgrims to apply the lessons learned and positively impact society. She further emphasized the importance of genuine patriotism and continued prayers for the Nation’s prosperity.

Mrs. Tosin Yohanna Ayobami, a pilgrim, commended the Federal Government, the Nigeria Christian Pilgrim Commission, and all those involved in making the exercise a success. She highlighted the spiritual significance of the exercise for the participants. She encouraged them to take the message of unity, peace, and love back to their communities.

The event featured praise and worship, prayers, as well as the presentation of certificates to the pilgrims. The event drew a large attendance.
