4 drug suspects arrested in Jos South LGA

Officials of the National Drugs Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) yesterday arrested four illicit drug suspects in the sub-urban community of Dohol Dangwon, in Jos South LGA.

The suspects were picked at various locations by the NDLEA officers following a formal complaint by the community leaders, led by their representatives, Retired Capt. Usman Danghai and Augustine Nyam, president of the Zawam Youth Association.

Both complainants disclosed to newsmen that they were compelled to invite the NDLEA to carry out the raid because they had previously made arrests through community vigilante operations and handed over the suspects to the Police only for the Police to let them out the same day.

State Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the NDLEA, Mrs. Elizabeth Gowon confirmed the arrest, saying the NDLEA was still investigating the suspects.
