Farmers in Plateau have been smiling since the establishment of Agriculture Bank to revamp the agricultural sector in the state. The bank is expected to begin granting loans to farmers in the state to assist in their production.

The State Government is said to be establishing the Bank with a view to encouraging its citizens to engage in farming to boost food production as well as to open up more job opportunities in the agricultural sector.

The Fadama Micro Finance Bank which is already in operation is being revamped by the State Government to offer the loans to farmers.
