Over 50 youths drawn from Barkin Ladi and Jos South Local Government Areas in Plateau State, have received special training on security, conflict management and community policing.

The programme which was organised by the Special Task Force, Operation Safe Haven is part of the several events in creating security awareness and reaching out to the needs of the people particularly among the youths.

The programme which was organised by the Special Task Force, Operation Safe Haven is part of the several events in creating security awareness and reaching out to the needs of the people particularly among the youths.

The two day special training for over fifty participants were drawn from districts and electoral wards in two local government areas where Sector 5 of the Special Task Force is located.

The participants were nominated by their local government councils in conjunction with traditional rulers from the areas.

Sector commander of the Special Task Force, Colonel Alade Adedigba, urged participants to be positive agents of change considering the role of youths in societal development.

Security expert and one of the facilitator at the training, Edinen Usoroh, placed more emphasises on security arrangements especially at worship centres with experts offering such services.
