2024: PLASCHEMA focusing of specific and realistic activities to consolidate on the success of 2023

The Plateau State Contributory Health Management Agency (PLASCHEMA) has said that for 2024, the agency will focus on more specific activities which are realistic, measurable and are time bound in order to consolidate on the successes recorded in the outgoing year. The agency also added that it is also fitting into the health plan of the State

This was disclosed by the Director of Planning, Research and Statistics of the agency, Dr Julfa Jude Nden while speaking to journalists at the 2024 Organisational Plan Development event held at the Multipurpose Hall of the National Institute for Mining and Geosciences, Jos on Monday 4th December 2023.

Dr Julfa Nden noted that some of the challenges that the agency was confronted with include the transition that took place at the State and agency level which affected the agency negatively. He also noted that the employment of staff into the agency which was hitherto suspended for the purpose of verification, which was subsequently waved also impact the agency. He stressed that now that some these challenges are being addressed, the stability affords the agency the opportunity to plan and achieve even more in 2024 compared to what the agency has achieved in 2023.

The event afforded the agency the opportunity of reviewing the 2023 Organisational Plan and also looked into the template to be used for the development of the 2024 Organisational Plan with the view of consolidating on the successes recorded and addressing the challenges of the outgoing year.

In his opening remark, the Director General, Plateau State Contributory Health Management Agency Dr Agabus Mannaseh charged the staff of the agency to prioritize the development of the work force which is a very strong backbone to the successes of the agency, adding that employee development, wellbeing and diversity is key. He stressed that by fostering the culture of inclusivity and continuous learning the PLASCHEMA team is empowered, adding that they must ensure that workforce is empowered in ensuring the success of the 2024 Organizational Development Plan.

He urged them to also come up with a strategic-implementation-plan and timelines for the effective delivery of all that will be planned for 2024. He called on them to embrace change, celebrate successes and learn from the challenges of the outgoing year.

Speaking to Journalists shortly after the event, the DG scored the agency high on the implementation performance of the 2023 Orgaqnizational Plan, with an over 70% success, adding that more will be done to improve on the indices going into 2024.
