As the 2023 General Elections draw nearer and political parties preparing to conduct their Primary elections in May, 2022, the Main opposition party, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) is leaving no stone unturned to ensure they meet the June 3rd, 2022 deadline for the submission of names of their respective Candidates for all positions.
It is in preparation for the Primary Elections that the PDP has appointed Members of screening and Appeal Committees across the 36 States of the Nation including the Federal Capital Territory.
Among those appointed to serve in the State House of Assembly Screening Committee in Plateau State is a legal Luminary, Barr. Gyang Zi of the Gyang Zi & Co. Knight’s Firms in Jos, the Plateau State Capital.
Chairman and Secretary of the Committee are Mr. Mike Mku and Hon. Engr. Daniel Ohiomoba respectively.
Other Members of the screening Committee are Barr. Sunny Odey and Hon. Hajia Hauwa Suleiman.
Speaking to this medium on his appointment, the Philanthropist and Human Rights Activists, Barr. Gyang Zi appreciated the PDP for finding him and other members of the Committee worthy to serve in the various committee.
He said they will display expertise and integrity in discharging their official duties as contained in their terms of reference and in line with the Constitution of the Party.
He admonished the party Aspirants and supporters to give the Committees the needed support in order for them to succeed.
“The Committees are made up of persons of uncompromising integrity, impeccable character and exceptional track records who have remained loyal and consistent to the party”
“We shall give our best and ensure the Party have more robust outing in the 2023 General Elections” he said.
He urged Nigerians to support the PDP which he said is the party that understands the problems bedevilling the Nation and have what it takes to address them.
“PDP has the best Aspirants at all levels as you can see and the sufferings being faced by the people will make the APC unable to return to power”
“You can see the level of insecurity, unemployment, inflation, high cost of living and poor standard of living”
“I am optimistic that PDP will regain power” he concluded.
