The Plateau State Labour Party, LP, gubernatorial candidate, Dr. Patrick Dakum, has encouraged youth of the Evangelical Church Winning All, ECWA, Anglo Jos branch, to be more active and productive in various vocations and to be patriotic by exercising their civil franchise and contributing their quota in nation building.
Dakum gave the encouragements while speaking at the Thanks Giving Service of the church yesterday.
According to him, the paucity of civil service work, coupled with the renumeration.today can hardly make ends meet, hence the need for engaging in different trades and vocations.
Furthermore, he stated that they need to get their Permanent Voters Cards, PVCs, as sure way of participating in electing the right candidates for the various elective positions in the forth coming 2023 elections, saying that if they disregard the elections and failed to participate, they have no right to complain when things go wrongly. And that, in as much as they pray to God for good and sound leadership without exercising faith by participating in the election, is all futile as faith without works is dead.
Earlier, Dakum gave thanks to the Almighty God for keeping and blessing his marriage for thirty nine years.
Commenting on the sermon, the LP governorship candidate said he is blessed and also encouraged members to be appreciating God through giving of thanks and supporting one another.
