A Social political group operating under the aegis of Plateau North Senatorial Zone Youths for Change( PNDZYC ) , has called on the state Governor Simon Lalong ,to contest the 2019 governorship elections as they would vote massively for him if he decides to contest . They also rated Governor Simon Lalong high stressing that the All Progressives Congress (APC) governor has done well by returning peace to the state, and has earned the support of majority of the people and initiated development projects across the 17 local government areas. The Group further said that Gov Lalong has done well in providing dividends of democracy to the People of the state since he became governor of the state . This was contained in a press statement signed by Jerry Ajang ,the President of the group and made available to newsmen in Jos on Tuesday.

It reads that “We want to commend the entire citizens of Plateau State over the historic emergence of Plateau United Football Club of Jos as champions of the 2016/1017 Nigerian Professional Football League. “As the good people of Plateau State and indeed football lovers around Nigeria celebrate this marvelous feat, we are left in no doubt that the special attention that , Governor Simon Lalong accorded Plateau United Football Club AKA Lalong Boys by providing the needed motivation through financial, material and moral support, in no small measure, contributed to the success that the world is now celebrating.”

“It is worth noting that Plateau United evolved from a relegation threatened side to Championship winners within a short span of time under , Governor Lalong’s tenure in office, making the Club the envy of its peers in the Nigerian League and expanding its fan base exponentially.” “We call on citizens of Plateau to support Gov Simon Lalong if he decides to contest the 2019 governorship candidate” . “For us the Northern zone Youths there is no alternative to Lalong in 2019.

“Lalong has done excellently in providing dividends of democracy to the people and should be supported .” “ We must commend Lalong for awarding contract for construction of some roads in the Northern zone of Plateau.

“We rate Lalong high because he has done well despite limited resources, and his projects are not lopsided .”the statement further added .
