President of Plateau Chambers of Commerce, Industry Mines and Agriculture PLACCIMA, Elder Bulus Darang, represented by the Deputy President today 11th October, 2019 led a delegation on a courtesy visit to the Commissioner of Commerce and Industry, Hon Joseph Abbey Aku, in-light of the Jos 2019 Trade Fair which started on 10th October 2019.

Speaking at the occasion Chief Simon Tangni, congratulated the Commissioner who was recently appointed and described the Rescue administration of Governor Simon Lalong as one that has encouraged economic activities on the Plateau thereby helping to boost the economy of the state. He went on to brief the commissioner on the activities of PLACCIMA and most importantly the commencement of the Jos Trade Fair. He said official opening Ceremony of the Jos Trade Fair is scheduled for Monday !4th October and encouraged the commissioner to make it a well attended event as it will be his public function.
Chief Tangni then stated that PLACCIMA was committed to the development of Plateau State as such the understanding relationship between them and the Ministry of Commerce and Industry

Jos Trade Fair Consultant and CEO Anista Marketing, Patience Bolcit Barshep, said this was the 8th edition of the Jos Trade Fair and it was an honor to have hosted and successfully executed 4 editions with the 2019 edition taking a leap from previous editions. She went on to share more light on the first time ever participation of a high commission, the Bangladesh High commission which will be at the fair. The special children segment which will be a fun fair for kids at the trade fair. The participation of top Nigerian conglomerate(Firesman), A daily Musical Concert to round-off daily activities with opportunities to showcase some talents.
The Anista CEO also went on to commend the Governor Simon Bako Lalong Made In Plateau SMEs Pavilion at the 2019 Jos Fair which is the first of its kind as it was a sure boost for entrepreneurs on the plateau.

The Honorable Commissioner, in response described the visit as timely as this was his first official courtesy visit. He said the Jos Trade fair is a huge economic boost for the state and helps projects the return of peace to Plateau state with the inflow of exhibitors and visitors at the fair. The Hon Commissioner went on to congratulate the team on the successes achieved this far as he will like to work with the private sector on having a permanent Trade Fair Complex. He also noted with delight the pro-activeness of the consultant(Anista Marketing and Events Ltd) describing the team as being apt and assured the team of his commitment.
