2019: Group Calls On Dame Pauline Tallen To Contest Plateau South Senatorial Election

Group under the auspice of Plateau South Progressive Youth Forum has called  on the former deputy governor of Plateau state Dame Pauline Tallen to contest the seat of Plateau south senatorial zone on the platform of the ruling All Progressive Congress APC come 2019 general election.

Plateau South Progressive Youth Forum comprising of Shenam, Mikang, Wase, Quaanpan, Langtang North and Langtang South local government areas of Plateau state.

According to a statement jointly signed by

Coordinator PLSPF, and Jiman Lar secretary, PLSPF said “we wish to make it unambiguously clear that we the youth of Plateau South by this invitation extended to our distinguished Pauline Tallen  have in the same vein thrown the full gravity of our fervid support for her candidature. 

The duo also noted that the fact stands unassailable that Tallen is a leader with towering credentials and worthy antecedents, one who has been a mentor to many  and astute politician whose undying philosophy and ideology remains to improve the living conditions of her people whilst striving to make Nigeria a better place.

According to them in having  Tallen for the deserving Office of Senator representing the good People of Plateau South come 2019, there are number of positive standpoints which favour her candidature at a time as this and for which our Senatorial district will benefit from to wit:

They noted that Tallen has risen through the ranks from humble beginnings as Councillor to be appointed as Commissioner, Minister, Deputy Governor and Federal Board Chairman. All these are a clear testimony  to her diligence to duty which merited her meteoric rise. 

“Furthermore, sufficient experience and reach has been built which our Senatorial district and indeed Plateau State and Nigeria in its entirety can benefit from adding that on  the premise of her sterling performance at any task bequeathed on her in all the Offices she occupied, Tallen has no doubt risen to prominence as a good exemplar model of what women can and should do with leadership.

They further said with the current clamour for women participation, the election of Dame Pauline Tallen will open more vistas of opportunities for our region and state at the national and international level. Thus development will be fast tracked.

The forum also noted that Tallen has been tested with leadership several on both small and great platforms without letting the people down saying she is therefore to be trusted as the most suitable to fearlessly advocate for the people of Plateau South come 2019.

“On several occasion, Tallen has risen to courageously speak up for the good people of Plateau State and this senatorial seat will afford her another such opportunity to further our cause as a people.

Evidently, Tallen has been sufficiently prepared by time and tested assignments with incontrovertible track records that eminently place her to emerge as a Senator primus inter pares in the ninth Assembly.

They warned  the electorate and stakeholders in the zone that ethnic, religious, gender or any such ephemeral sentiments should not be the yardstick for determining who represents them at the Senate saying they should  arise with one voice and give a resounding support for an overwhelming victory come 2019, the statement added.
