Majority leader in the Plateau State House of Assembly, Mr Daniel Dem who is also the member representing the affected areas said it was disheartening that the attacks keep reoccurring despite the presence of Security operatives. He said that the villages have been deserted as people fled for safety.

The Special Task Force (STF) maintaining peace in the state through its media officer Captain Salisu Mustapha confirmed the incident and said the death toll as a result of continuous attacks on the villages for the week stood at seventeen.
