180 Code Plateau Fellows Seek Future Works In Software Engineering Examination

About 180 Code Plateau fellows have sat for the Software Engineering Examination this week in Jos, Plateau State, as part of the transformative steps in building high skills for the global technology market.
The Code Plateau is designed and anchored by the Plateau State Information and Communication Technology Development Agency (PICTDA) to build a pool of highly skilled young people in digital or soft skills including Coding, Software Programming, UI/UX designs, IT basics, and Software Development among others.

Originally focusing on filling the local skill gaps in Nigeria’s burgeoning ICT sector; in the last three years, the scheme is evolving to feed the increasing hunger for soft skills in the global tech market.

“The next phase will be very tough and challenging; we are hell-bent on building a critical mass of solution developers in Plateau state. The first of its kind.

“Code Plateau is another critical milestone in the Rescue Administration’s quest to support Human Capital Development and an uncommon attribute from the most Youth Friendly and ICT Passionate Governor , Rt. Hon. Simon Bako Lalong.

“While awaiting the outcome of the selection committee, let me congratulate all the fellows who showed interest in progressing to the next phase by taking the exam,” said Director General of PICTDA, Mr. Daser David, in a Facebook post.

According to the PICTDA’s boss, Code Plateau forms part of the framework for development of ICT as an industry which is vital to the economic growth of Plateau State in line with the mandate of PICTDA to drive a technology value in the State.
