Over 1000 People have benefited from a free medical health interventions in Nding Community of Barkin ladi local government area of Plateau State

The health intervention was Organised by a non governmental organisation known as faith based Aids awareness initiative with the aim of providing succour to the revaged Community were hundreds of its residents have been killed, thousands rendered homeless and Properties worth millions of naira destroyed.

Executive Director of the Organisation Folorusnho Oloruntunde Said its team were in the Community earlier in the year on needs assessment of the ravaged Community and after discussions with Community leaders we discussed that their Primary need was health intervention.

According to him the team which is made of health professionals from various fields to treat Persons with various degree of illness and health Challenges Said People with Serious Cases will be referred to the hospitals for treatment

This Program was done with the Collaboration effort of the management of Barkin Ladi local government area which also brough their health Professionals to assist in the program.

The Executive Director of the faith based initiative attributed the Success of this programme to the late immediate management Committee Chairman who died recently as his Played an important role in ensuring that these program became a reality only that death took him away and dedicated this Programme to him.

Ward head Nding Community Isaiah Gyang applauded the effort of the faith based Aids awareness initiative which has being a blessing to the Community since the unfortunate incident that took place the community has been facing slot of challenges especially as most of the basic amenities in the Community has been destroyed during the attack.

He described the non governmental organisation as God Sent and urged other Spirited organisations to emulate their steps.

Chairman Berom Educational and Cultural Organisation Eng Jack Dung Said expressed delight and happiness towards the health intervention done by the faith based organisation which he Says is a Clear demonstration of the humanitarian gesture of the organization towards helping the needy in the Society.

This Program will go a long way in bringing Succour and respite to this revaged Community.

A medical Doctor with the Barkin ladi local government health department Said treatment being administered to the people include ulcer, malaria, hyptension, dyheria among others and Severa Cases will be referred to the general hospital for further handling.

Director of Health Barkin ladi local government area Garos Davou who represented the acting Council Chairman discribed the event as eventful owing to the help being rendered to the community by this spirited Organisations Saying the Council is impressed with their effort as what the organisation has done will Place them in history.

The event witnessed a large turn out people to receive treatment for various ailment and other sicknesses.
