In the city of Jos, there is a church. But it’s not just a church. It is a mandate to carry the Gospel of Jesus Christ to all nations. It is a sound, strange and exhilarating to all those who come across it. This sound is known as The Latterhouse Christian Centre. With various programs, including two Spirit-filled Celebration Services on Sunday and one life-changing Communion Service on Tuesday, this vibrant movement is set to take the Plateau by storm. One of such programs is Youths Connect.
Taking place bimonthly, this is the biggest gathering of youths on the Plateau. It boasts an array of talents, not just from within the Tin City, but all over Nigeria. The most recent took place on Saturday, 4th of August, and was no exception, with stars like Genesys, Tytan, Royal DC, and other local and international celebrities gracing the event. Performances spanned from dance to song to comedy to even a freestyle competition and a talk show! It was a time of laughs and fun for everyone who attended.
One of the major parts of the show is its hosts. This edition was hosted by the ever-young Sir Wudel Goyomma, director of the Youth ministry and a pastor at the Latterhouse Christian Centre, and his surprise co-host, Ms. Kendesha Adum. A lively young woman hailing from Benue State, she brought the house down with her witty comments and attitude. Decked in a red T-shirt, white jeans, classic Timberland boots, she portrayed the image of the typical 21st-century youth in all their glory. The first daughter of the bassman Ahide Adum, a global celebrity known for his baritone voice and presence in the world of media, she looks set to follow in her father’s footsteps and make a name for herself. She is an aspiring law student, having recently completed the Degree Foundation program in Law at Afe Babalola University, Ibadan. She is a voice over artist and has done numerous jobs for well-known names, such as Bournvita, Etisalat, MTN, etc. She is a die-hard Christ lover and business enthusiast.
