Plateau State House of Assembly Deputy Speaker who is the National leader of “inclusive project” for Plateau Central senatorial district, Rt Hon Saleh Shehu Yipmong (surv) received major boost as he was welcome in Pankshin, Kanke, and Bokkos local government in a grand and ceremonial way by the Local Government Council chairmen, Legislative Arm and their respective party Executives at the local government level, ward level alongside their respective five ad-hoc delegates.

Deputy Speaker Yipmong was in the company of Hon Maurice Gusam JP who was the former APC zonal coordinator, Prince Hailey Adanchin, former Bokkos APC Chairman, Hon Nengak Istifanus from Pankshin alongside other stakeholders, youths, and party leaders.

In his opening remark at the three local governments visited, Rt Hon Yipmong appreciated them despite their tight schedules and various activities for finding time to honor his coming, indeed he is grateful. He then stated that his purpose of visit is pure politics which is to present himself before them as one of the Senatorial choices available.

He further says that his passion to represent the people of central zone was borne out of his desire to unite our people towards a secured and prosperous zone by harnessing our human and material resources for the greater good of our people thereby driving an inclusive legislative and developmental program for our people. He added that as a bonafide Bogghom man from kanam who falls within the delineation of Plateau central, he has served the state as Deputy Speaker during the 8th assembly and still serving in the 9th Assembly where he is equipt with all the rudiments and experience to bring the needed dividend of democracy to the people.

Responding separately, the legislative arm leader of Kanke, Hon Gorumji Golu while acknowledging the relationship between the Bogghom and Ngas man says they have every reason to support his aspiration, he assured Yipmong of support in their various wards saying he who laughs last will laugh best. Hon Boniface Gombam who is kanke’s APC secretary acknowledges Yipmong’s humility and intelligence, he says a legislator of his status cannot be wasted but will be supported to actualize his potential and services to the state.

At Pankshin LGA, Yipmong was warmly welcome by the executive council and legislative arm. The leader says that as their senior colleague and parliamentarian, they are delighted to have him in their chamber, and assured him of maximum support and cooperation as he is set to take over the affairs of the central zone senate.

At Bokkos LGA, Yipmong was received by Hon Joseph Guluwa who was ably represented by the Deputy Chairman, he welcome him and ushered him into the legislative chamber. The leader gives a node on the aspiration of Yipmong saying it is time to reward the Kanam man for their investment over time. The party officials in Bokkos cleared him as one of the qualified candidates, and also reiterate the fact that Kanam played a significant role in their emergence as Governor of Plateau state and senator over the years, this will be a good time to reward them as they unanimously prayed for him to succeed.
