Information into our news desk indicates that a women was brutally murdered yesterday Saturday 6th April 2019 by suspected herdsmen in Patiko Gwomjang village of Barkin Ladi LGA.

The woman, along with others were said to be washing their cloths in preparation for Sunday service the next day, when they were ambushed by suspected herdsmen at approximately 2:30 at the river.

On sensing danger, all the people at the river took to their hills in different directions, but the lady Mrs Tsok was said to have fallen while running and the assailants macheted her to death in the most gruesome manner.

At the time of filling this report, the woman was since buried and her family remain in deep morning.

Younger brother to the decease (Mr Samuel Hwere Tsok) posted a tribute to the woman whom he identified as his elder sister on Facebook. He lamented the constant torment that the people in his village have suffered in the hands of assailants.
