One of the candidates jostling for the position of chairmanship, Mangu Local Government, Mr. Lawi Damter revealed to ViewPointNigeria’s political correspondent that his vision to transform Mangu Local Government and take it to another realm of accomplishments has come to stay. ”It behooves me to exercise the mandate I will be given by the electorates in trust, responsibility and faith.” ‘Together we can play our role to liberate our people from economic challenges and enhance development for the sake of unborn generations’ he said. BRIEF PROFILE OF HON. LAWI S DAMTER

Hon. Lawi S Damter was born in Bwai District of mangu LGA in 1965. His primary,secondary and tertiary education
between 1974 and 1988 saw him attending schools within Niger and plateau
state.Thereafter, he worked in the steel company, banking and agricultural
sector of the economy. With such rich experience and the great desire to
further serve his people and nation, he launched into full time farming and
business in 1990. He established Bamshak Global services ltd and LASIDA
enterprises Nig Ltd. signifying his Vision for mangu by making BAM(i. e
Help) his key desire. It is said that a golden fish has no hidden
place.This truly describes Hon. Lawi S Damter. His distingushed career in
the public and corporate organisations saw him serving in various
capacities. A few suffice. LABOUR PREFECT,Borgu .Secretary ,Nams plapoly
chapter, CHAIRMAN, Bwai District football club, COORDINATOR OF RESTORATION
(1996-1999) COORDINATOR, Ambassador Bagudu Hirse campaign organisation,
