VC of Unijos Challenges University Administrators to be Globally Relevant

The Association of Nigerian University Professional Administrators (ANUPA), University of Jos Branch has held an internal training workshop geared at assisting its members to strengthen their productivity and administrative capacities. Under the theme: “Promoting Execelence in University Administration”, the event was meant to serve as a springboard for higher achievements in university administration.

Speaking, the chairman, ANUPA Unijos Branch, Comrade Abdulahi Abdulahi stressed that “the main objective will be to provide our members with a broader platform to horn their skills and enable knowledge transfer and sharing with our sister organisations”.

The University Registrar, Mr Monday Danjem also stressed the need for University administrators to be discipline and understanding of their critical roles in the advancement of the University’s objectives.

The Vice Chancelor professor Sabastine Maimako represented by the Deputy Vice Chancellor Academics, advocated for the inclusion of Management skills in the undergraduates curriculum in order to produce better and efficient administrators

The Vice Chancelor called on the administrators to be technological relevant, inline with globall practice.
