Sequel to our earlier report, where we reported that two were killed by suspected marauders, it has now be reliably confirmed that up to 11 people were murdered.

Eyewitnesses to spoke to ViewPointNigeria confirmed that the marauders arrived in a white hillux truck and opened fire on unsuspecting citizens, before driving off rapidly.

The identities of some of the dead have already been confirmed but we have chosen to withhold this to allow their families to be notified first.

The attack happened this evening, around 8:30pm in Latya, just by Rayfield Jos.

Several people who were injured have been taken to various hospitals in Jos, including JUTH and Plateau Hospital.
