The Vice Chancellor of University of Jos, Prof. Hayward Mafuyai has warned students of the Institution, that the University will not hesitate to expel any student who indulge in examination malpractice and cultism.

Mafuyai gave the warning on Wednesday during the matriculation of 1, 005 students of Bachelors of Education (B.ED) Long vacation held at the Multi-Purpose Hall of the Institution.

Mafuyai gave the warning on Wednesday during the matriculation of 1, 005 students of Bachelors of Education (B.ED) Long vacation held at the Multi-Purpose Hall of the Institution.

“You should note that if at any point in time any of you is found to have registered with false certificates or incomplete qualifications, you will be withdrawn from the programme. You need to avoid examination misconduct all through your stay in this University. He warned.

“If caught engaged in any form of examination misconduct, the penalty is outright expulsion. As mature students that you are, we do not expect you to engage in ocultic activities.

“We need to warn you that there is no room for cultism in this University, outright expulsion is also the penalty for any student found to belong to a cult, such a student will be handed over to the police for prosecution.

The Vice Chancellor warned lecturers in the institution to desist from the sale of hand-out.

Adding that, “I wish to let the students know that the ban on sale of handout is still in place in the University and no lecturer should force students to buy such materials.

Administering the Matriculation oath, Registrar of the University, Mr. Jily Dandam urged the students to shun cultism and avoid any examination malpractices saying the institutions strongly kick against such act and assured them that the oath will be implemented to the later.
