Two killed in Foron district in overnight attack

Two people were gruesomely murdered last night in Foron District of Barkin Ladi LGA.

Gunmen were said to have arrived the community in the cover of darkness, and attacked the local community while attempting to cart away with cattle from some house-holds. The attack happened in Kamang Bek Nafok village of Foron district.

Aside the two people who were killed, one was said to have sustained life threatening injuries and is currently receiving treatment in a hospital in Jos.

This is coming at the backdrop of a report by ViewPointNigeria to the effect that MACBAN has alleged that 86 of their cattle were rustled in the community, with the 13-year old herdsmen yet to be located.

It will be recalled that a few weeks ago, Operation Safe Haven (OPSH), the apex security outfit in Plateau had relocated its HQ to Barkin Ladi in a bid to forestall attacks. This happening brings a lot of grieve to the people of Barkin Ladi, who are yet mourning the ethnic cleansing of over 233 people in Gashish, Heipang and Foron districts of the LGA.
