The rally which had in attendance the Presidential Flag bearer Gen Muhammadu Buhari and other high profile dignitaries was a well attended event, which pulled a gargantuam crowd.
It was learnt that the victims were trying to force their way out of the venue of the event (i.e., the crowded Rwang Pam Township Stadium, which at the time was filled beyond capacity) when they were trampled upon by other attendees, thus dying in the process.

It was learnt that the victims were trying to force their way out of the venue of the event (i.e., the crowded Rwang Pam Township Stadium, which at the time was filled beyond capacity) when they were trampled upon by other attendees, thus sustaining critical injuring and ultimately dying before they could be rushed to the hospital.
This unfortunate happening leaves a sour taste in the mouth of the families of the deceased, but several people that our correspondent spoke to on ground at the event, said for drastic change to come sacrifices/losses such as this would have to happen. They bemoaned the victims praying for God to grant them eternal rest.
The APC presidential candidate, General Mohammadu Buhari, had earlier addressed the mammoth crowd, promising to restore security in the north eastern zone of the country as well as improve on the agriculture and education sectors.
He also promised to make jobs available for the unemployed youths if voted into power in next month’s election.
