To reduce cost, Lalong opts for low-key inauguration ceremony

Plateau  State Government has announced a low-key inauguration ceremony on May 29.

The committee’s chairman, and deputy Governor  of  the state Professor Sonni Tyoden while addressing newsmen in Jos on Friday said there would be golf tournament on Saturday 25th May 2019, a Church service on Sunday May 26th 2019, a pre-inaugural dinner on Tuesday May 28th and the swearing on Wednesday May, 29th 2019

He said the Federal Government recently  said that President Muhammadu Buhari will have a low – key inauguration for his second term on May 29th, we are also taking a cue from them.

Special jumaat prayer is expected to hold on Friday as well. There would also be a town hall meeting, unveiling the vision and programmes of the government from 2019 to 2023 on Wednesday June 12 as well as the celebration of talented Plateau youth through performances music, drama, poetry and more.
