The Governor’s Aide lamented over the attitude of some politicians within the State who feel big to approach the State chapter of the Party for reconciliation but went to the National Secretariat to lobby due to their influence and relationship with some members of the National Working Committee of the party.
It is interesting to note that, the former Governor and Senator representing Plateau Central, Chief Joshua Dariye and the former Deputy Governor, Dame Pauline Tallen among others have indicated interest to return to PDP to contest elective positions.
“Some of the PDP members in 2011 instead of them to remain patient they decide to opt out to Labour Party to contest election with Governor Jonah Jang believing that they will defeat him and the result was interesting, the people of the state said, PDP is their party and that was how they lost out.
“All this while, they did not see the need to come back until of recent that they are angling to return in to the party through various means.
“Their main focus of returning was to start from the National rather than starting from the State to make relationship with people in other to make their reasons known to the leader of the party and the Party officials to accept them.
“In party politics, you cannot stop anybody from coming in to the party and everybody also have the right to leave the party but you should know that if you leave the party and you want to come back, there are people already there, you need to seek their consent they must agree with you that the reason why you left were genuine.
“We are doing this because we are all witnesses of what is happening in the state, no body today no matter how highly place, you cannot just leave PDP and think that you have friends and colleagues at the National Secretariat of the Party that will imposed your coming back on the party at the state level.
Molwus who has interest to vie for the Plateau Central Senatorial seat, noted that he sacrificed N2.8 million in 2011 went he picked PDP nomination form to contest election but was asked to stop because he was not yet seen as a genuine member of the Party.
He added that those who are scrambling to return to PDP in State do not mean well for the party, saying they can only be accepted when the party primaries are over.
The Governor’s Aide maintained that the people of Plateau State will collectively elect who will succeed Governor Jonah Jang irrespective of the ethic and religious background.
Stressing that there has never being zoning for the Governor’s seat in the State.
