Students of University of Jos had today read the RIOT ACT  to Jos electricity distribution company over the epileptic  power supply in the University community. The letter sign by the president of the union comrade Samson Haruna was titled “warning In view of mass action” did not seem to be carrying the soft language, ViewPointNigeria gathers that for about four days the University community is in dark ,even while many new students are in the process of registration which is computerized causing serious setback for the new students.

ViewPointNigeria gathers that few hours after the letter was delivered the electricity was immediately restored in the University community that enjoys a standby and a dedicated line for a while hitherto.

The activities of the Jos electricity distribution have been question in recent time, while the company force the new meter on some arrears many areas like  Angwan- Rogo, Nasarawa , Gangare and some part of Tudun Wada have resisted the metering policy of the company. Again, Jos city seems to pay higher tariffs than others, a scenario that almost causes a mass action against the company recently.

The coming  week shall reveal the relationship between the students of Unijos and JED as students over the years have frowned at activity of electricity distribution company, with protest that cause serious damage to the company.
