The sum of N265, 000 snatched from a trader by armed robbers has been recovered by the Special Task Force (STF) maintaining peace in Plateau and returned to the owner.

Commenting on the incident, Major General David Enetie who is the STF commander in the state said that the armed robbers were arrested and are being interrogated and will soon be charged to court. He said that the money has been handed over to the owner, Mrs Caroline Agada who is a trader in Jos.

Agada expressed delight over the way the STF acted and stated that the money was snatched from her at the old airport junction after leaving the bank where she withdrew it.

The trader added that the robbers trailed her as she got on a tricycle and approached NASC O fibre to buy some grains. Unknown to them, STF personnel stationed close by were observing the event and quickly swung to action and arrested the robbers. She thanked the STF and prayed God to guide and protect them in their duties.
