Plateau Regeneration Group on Saturday lambasted Members of the Plateau State House of Assembly for boycotting the two-day House of Representatives Constitution Review Zonal Public Hearing which held in Jos, the State Capital.

” With this action , the Speaker of the state house of assembly , Hon Ayuba Abok and other members of the assembly have all failed their constituents ” they added .

The group further said that with the action of the speaker and the members of the state assembly ,they have proven to the citizens of the state that they do not have their interest at heart .

Addressing newsmen in Jos ,Pam Datiri the spokesman of the group said we are disappointed by the action of the Speaker Ayuba Abok and the 17 Plateau State House of Assembly Members who boycotted the “National exercise” held in Jos, the State Capital .

The group described the disposition of the Lawmakers as the peak of insensitivity to the plights of the people of Plateau State and surfacing at a time the citizens are yearning for credible and effective representation.

“We are highly disappointed in them

“Their action is not only a disgrace, but wicked and we condemn it in the strongest terms” the statement said.

“As a group, we want to make it known that we have lost confidence on the Leadership and Members of the Plateau State House of Assembly.

We also urge the public to hold them accountable for the poor representation of issues affecting the State which needed serious attention”.

As a group we call on them to apologize to Governor Simon Lalong and citizens of Plateau or we would join those glamouring for their recall ,the statement added .
