Remnap stated that Lar lived according to the Biblical injunction “love your enemies”. She added that “He practically loved his enemies; he was humble and related to the poor the same way he related to the affluent”. She said it was not a time for mourning but to thank God as he lived above the Biblical age of 70 and reached 80 years.

Sadat Garga who represents Katana under the PDP said the late politician words were always few and weighty while calling for him to be immortalised for his achievements in the areas of provision of health facilities in the state and establishment of the Plateau Radio Television station (PRTVC) while he held sway as the state Governor.

Ibrahim Baba Hassan who represents Jos North-North on the APC platform stated that the late Governor was not materialistic as he had no house of his own in Abuja while calling on other politicians to emulate his lifestyle.

The member representing Langtang north on the PDP platform, Mr Ponmak Rindap stated that Lar never stepped on any toe either big or small during his lifetime despite his towering political stature. “He used to tell us, I have nothing and I will live nothing for my children if I die, I will leave only a good name,” he said.

A minute silence was observed in honour of the former Governor.
