SENATOR I. D. GYANG BAGS AWARD OF OPTIMUS LEGISLATOR BY YOUNG LAWYERS FORUM, NBA

Senator I. D. Gyang of Plateau North has bagged two awards in recognition of his credible, people impacting representation and law making capacity.

The first is that of the Nigerian Bar Association (Young Lawyers Forum), Jos Branch who rated and ranked Senator Gyang, himself being a Barrister at Law, as an “OPTIMUS LEGISLATOR” (Excellent legislator of the year). The young Lawyers expressed delight that Senator Gyang has done them proud as their learned colleague by displaying excellence as Senator, Federal Republic of Nigeria especially in Law making by the numerous Bills he has sponsored, two of which have been assented to into law by the President.

The National Association of Plateau State Students (NTA College) on the other hand gave the Senator an award of “PILLAR OF EDUCATION IN PLATEAU NORTH.” This award is in recognition of the Senator Gyang’s prioritization of education infrastructure and sponsoring Bills that have direct impacf on education. The first is the Bill that was signed into Law by the President establishing the College of Laboratory Science Technology Jos. The second is his current Bill for the establishment of University of Broadcasting and Film Studies, to upgrade the NTA College and Nigerian Film Institute both in Jos to a University status.

Senator Gyang was represented at both events which held in Jos on Friday 23rd April, 2021 by Hon. Daniel Dem his Senior Legislative aide.

Senator Gyang has been a recepient of many awards that gallanded his performance as the ‘Peoples Voice’ and Senator with tangible proofs both in people impacting projects and empowerment.
