ECWA Men’s Fellowship International has in recognition of the noticeable contributions of Senator I. D. Gyang to the church and missions as evidenced by the rebuilding of classes, an office, and a library at ECWA Theological Seminary, Zabolo, given him an award as “Promoter of Theological Education and Missions.” The event took place during the Tri-annual International Conference of the fellowship held in Jos on Friday 22/04/22.

Presenting the Award, ECWA President, Rev. Dr. Stephen Panya Baba, noted with satisfaction the zeal and passion of Senator Gyang as an ambassador of Christ in politics and governance and being a notable voice in the Senate.

Senator Gyang as a keynote speaker at the conference encouraged members of the men’s fellowship to engage in politics so as to provide godly and good leadership. He called on them not to be infected by political apathy but rather, to be actively involved in business and politics starting with party politics, vying for elective positions, and voting massively during elections.

Prayers were made for the peace of the nation, the safety of citizens, and for God to raise patriotic, selfless and godly leaders for Nigeria.
