Senator Representing Plateau North Sen. ID Gyang has expressed his appreciation to the Deputy Speaker House of Representatives Rt. Hon. Ahmed Idris Wase for making good his support to winners of the recently held Peace, Unity and Reconciliation Football Tournament in Plateau North.

Senator Gyang stated this on Friday at the “People’s Parliament” Constituency Office when he presented cash donations from the Deputy Speaker to winners of the First Ever Plateau North Peace, Unity and Reconciliation football tournament he recently organised in his Senatorial District.

It would be recalled that a total of 73 teams across all electoral wards of the Six LGcs in Plateau North Senatorial District participated in the Tournament. Rt Hon Wase made a pledge of prizes to the best three teams and players worth N2.5m

Senator Gyang represented by his Senior Legislative Aide Hon. Daniel Dem during the presentation, commended the good gesture of Rt. Hon. Ahmed Idris Wase for supporting the Peace football tournament, saying his actions were exemplary of a leader who keeps his promises and one that has passion for the growth and development of the youth of Plateau State.

While appreciating the Senator and the Deputy Speaker, Coach Dung Elisha Pam of Rafan Ward, the overall best team, spoke on behalf of the winners joyfully expressed gratitude to the Senator for providing a platform for the promotion of grassroots football. He assured that the football talents discovered during the tournament will make the Senator and Plateau state proud in the near future.
