Revealed: Jang the brain behind the Creation of Lalong’s Agencies

Recently, documents have emerged revealing that the Former Governor of Plateau State Senator, Jonah David Jang had already laid the foundation for creation what became some of the agencies that Governor Simon Lalong’s administration established in Plateau state.

The documents which area leaked handover notes from the Former Governor of Plateau State, Jonah David Jang to Governor Simon Lalong who was elected on 28th April 2015, contained details of existing and proposed agencies.

Governor Simon Lalong of Plateau State has been commended for being the brain behind the establishment of some agencies in Plateau State including the Plateau State Peace Building Agency and The Plateau Information Communication Technology Agency, the Plateau State Contributory Health Management Agency, Plateau State Microfinance Development Agency among other.

The documents however show that some agencies were at different formative stages during that administration of Da Jonah David Jang.

Apart from the Operation Rainbow which was already in full operation during the Jang administration, the ICT Agency was in operation under the Office of the Executive Governor of Plateau State, documents have shown. This office is what later became the Plateau State Information and Communication Technology Development Agency (PICTDA) after the passage of the Law by the Plateau State House of Assembly.

Another one is the Plateau State Peace Building Agency, which was then operated under the Jang Administration as ‘Peace Building Office’ which was also in operation under the Office of the Executive Governor of Plateau State during the Jang era.

In addition is the Plateau Mineral Development Company Limited, which also already an established entity under the Jang Administration. These documents have gone to prove that these agencies were all visioned by the past administration of Sen. Jonah David Jang shortly before handing over to Governor Simon Lalong.

The Agencies established by the Lalong administration include the Plateau State Peace Building Agency, the Plateau Information Communication Technology Agency, the Plateau State Contributory Health Management Agency, Plateau State Microfinance Development Agency among other. These have gone ahead to do amazingly well positively affecting the lives of the citizens of Plateau State as envisioned by the Former Governor of Plateau State, Jonah David Jang as the documents revealed that he was instrumental with detailed information on the roles and responsibilities of the agencies.
