There is an enduring axiom of leadership that says ‘’History is riddled with leaders that have left an indelible mark in the sands of time.’’. From the day I was born to date, quite a number of issues have troubled and shaped my life. I think I’ve had the unique opportunity to see life from a vantage position and appreciate the efforts made on a daily basis by visionaries to change the world. This article has nothing to do with praise singing but conceived out of a genuine and an honest heart to give honour to whom honour is due. I live in a country blessed with enormous human resources. I equally live in a country where a few people have the heart to inspire lives and shape the destiny of humankind. Just a few! They share the pains of those who are weak and poor. They pull resources and ideas to give meaning and add value to human life. They work tirelessly to proffer solutions and ensure Nigeria gets better from the myriads of problems confronting her. Their cardinal concern is to see our country grow up and realise its full potentials. Obviously, they do so with a sense of purpose and responsibility. Permit me to say here that they have a date with history.
WHO IS DOMKAT JAMES?
Having shone my searchlight across the nooks and crannies of the world looking at different locations and thinking about how bleak the future of man is, I have realised that God himself can’t come down from heaven to solve our problems. He uses men of substance and those who are willing to brave all odds, defy the barriers of life and pay the ultimate price for true change to occur. The outcome of my deeper digging is clear and true. One of the exceptional creatures of God whose Spartan lifestyle is worth emulating is Domkat James Kyemting from Plateau state, Nigeria. Born and raised in Mangu Local Government Area by hardworking and humble parents, Mr. Domkat has never left anyone in doubt about his interest in working with youths to define a sense of purpose for humanity. His passion for human development is unquantifiable. Here is a man who uses his experience, God-given resources, ideas, time and energy to make tomorrow better and clear all hurdles stopping the youths from achieving greatness. I am a living witness. The wonderful advices, suggestions and support he has been giving to the youths have been instrumental to our collective success. No wonder he was found worthy to be conferred with a meritorious award of honour in 2015 for his sterling services to humanity by the National Association of Plateau State students under the leadership of comrade Enoch Vilret John. His plane of achievements can best be described as a plane flying at cruise level. Domkat James is a wonderful personality, an exceptional leader, a nationalist per excellence, a true patriot. He’s kind, hardworking, intelligent and humble to a fault. He’s one of the leading lights in a dark and depraved generation. Knowing him is one of the best things that ever happened to me and countless others. Domkat James always encourage the youths to strive to realise their purpose in life and maximise it because life is short. This is really amazing. He supports charity missions with passion. DAPAR AID is an example. Our work across rural communities targeting the poorest of the poor has been largely funded over the years by Mr. Kyemting. We have every reason to rally round him and support his legitimate aspirations for true change and a better tomorrow.
A GREAT FUTURE IS POSSIBLE
Quite a number of people have done great things and are still doing so. They are the unsung heroes of our time and age. To them I pledge my utmost solidarity and loyalty. Domkat James is one in a million. He is like a golden fish that has no hiding place. His potentials and greatness are worthy to be tapped by all and sundry. Wherever he goes, he represents enormous hope and enormous possibility of a better future. I salute his courage and admire his tenacity of purpose. We will continue to work closely to change lives and help young people accomplish their purpose and dreams because we sincerely believe in the possibility of a great future.
