Gentlemen of the Press.

Our attention has been drawn to a malicious and false report alleging that, Rt.Hon.Abok Nuhu Ayuba, the legitimate Speaker, Plateau State House of Assembly, has tendered letter of resignation as Speaker of the Plateau State House of Assembly. The story is false and obviously fabricated.

It is the mandate of Rt.Hon.Abok Ayuba to address the Press and rebunk such an action with criminal undertones as reported in some section of media. We also advising the public to disregard the false and misleading report of the purported letter of resignation. The same group which previously fabricated that sixteen members staged the purported impeachment of the speaker up till now couldn’t authenticate that claims.

Gentlemen of the Press, permit me to quotes from his texts:-

“It is no news that the House of Assembly was vandalized some days ago and the imposture and the self acclaimed Speaker and his self styles members with government approval moved a resolution to move their sitting into the government House.

This must have been part of their efforts and clandestine plans to access the letter headed papers of my office and get someone who could doctor my signature to make it appear as it I did resign, I never authored that document.

“The purported impeachment was said to have took place in the wee hours of the 28th October, 2021. Even after that day, I have been responded to their Press statements ..I couldn’t have fighting for justice to preveil. Why will I then be writing resignation letter after that time.

“The purported letter of resignation dated 1st November, 2921, that was the same day, my humble self and my honourable colleagues entered the Assembly’s complex to make a video the whole world, why will it be on that same day that I will do such writing.

“And moreso, there’s an ongoing legal action with my loyal members, I would have carried them along if any such decision. The purported letter of resignation is false and is obviously fabricated, meant to mislead members of the public and to advance the concocted narrative of the coup against democracy seeking to justify the impunity and illigality in the impeachment saga.

“Plateau people, have alot of confidence in me, I couldn’t sale their birth right for anything. The fight on this is the Plateau fight Bigger than me and the twelve of us. So we are committed to continue stand for justice, equity and peaceful Plateau, and to victory and stability of democracy.

“I can’t do a letter and put a signature and stamp of received again. A letter that not addressed to anyone in particular, if the said letter truly emanated from me, I wouldn’t been seen continuously contesting the illegallity.

“One would wondered why, if they had the letter as at 1st November, 2021 why are they bring it out on 18th November,2021. They would have been happy to produce it as early as possible.
They crafted doing this forgery as a distraction plan to win the sympathy of plateau people.

“They inordinate ambition has blinded their conscious and eyes from seeing the reality. Are they now saying,their impeached me or did I resign? Resign from what? This beg for answer. Impeachment or resignation?

“They have not been able to plan well to do this mischief if they schemers were smart enough they would have planned better for them, and not to make them look quite disgraceful, shameful and confused in the whole prank and childish display of foolishness.”

However, we ask security operatives to investigate and unmask those behind the writing and forgery of signature of Right Honourable Abok Ayuba.
