The National Association of Plateau State students (NAPSS) National body is an association that has been in existence for over 3.5 Decades With the motto “towards the Plateau of our dream”. We have 64 registered chapters of NAPSS at various Tertiary institutions at home and in Diaspora. Also we have 54 National tribal Associations under the watch of NAPSS and its leadership. . We have active and passive NAPSS nationally and internationally. The Association is presently headed by Comr. Alexander Daklong (07035517682) a student of the Famous Federal University of Technology Minna, Niger State.
The vision to organize the maiden national cultural carnival by the Alexander Daklong led Administration for plateau state students at home and in Diaspora came as a result of the pathetic situation we found ourselves today in the state to include lack of patriotism, tribalism, ethnic sentiments, negligence of duty, moral decadence such as exams malpractice, cultism, drug abuse, we are no longer proud of our identity. Our plateau tribes are gradually going into extinction thus the need to revamp and reawaken the plateau students to restore and embrace renaissance for the restoration of lost glory in education, unionism, politics and our relationship with one another to present one Plateau voice and speak as an indivisible entity. This cultural carnival will foster unity in diversity and show the rich culture and tradition of our beloved state in the face of daunting challenges and to show the world that peace had returned to Plateau.
The programs of events are:
• Carnival match pass by all Plateau tribes and NAPSS Chapters
• Paper presentation by the guest Speaker
• Cultural display by all cultural tropes
• Launching and display of Plateau dishes
• National Anthem in Plateau tribes by selected secondary schools.
• Poem Recitation on National Issues
• Free donations of wheel chairs to the physically challenge NAPSS by Beautiful Gate Foundation International

• 5th/03/2017 Re-union service at government house Chapel. To appreciate Gods for his love and faithfulness to NAPSS past and present leaders.
